Breaking up with DirecTV

After my terrible Comcast experience of paying 15 extra bucks a month for 5 HD channels in Longmont, I decided to give DirecTV a try with our new house.  Things were good for a while until I started experiencing problems with their hardware and signal during mild weather.

I decided to go back to Comcast and called up DirecTV to cancel my service.  Anyone ever notice how similar it is to breaking up with a girlfriend??

DirecTV: Hey Peter, what’s up?

Me: I think we should break up.

DirecTV: Really?  What did I do?

Me: I couldn’t depend on you.  You weren’t there for me when I needed you.

DirecTV: Please don’t leave, I can change!

Me: No, it’s too late for that.

DirecTV: Is there somebody else?

Me: Yes.

DirecTV: It’s that bitch Comcast isn’t it?

Me: Yes, I’m sorry.

I just had my Comcast cable installed this morning and I’m so far happy with my switch back.
