SoOoOoOooOooooo Fustrating yesterday at work..

So…I head into work at 5:30 in the morning to find out my lovely pups pooped in their kennels.  Not only that, they took the liberty to stomp all over it & get it ALL over the place…on their beds & all over the walls & tops of their kennels…  It’s not the first time I’ve dealt with that, but still, it’s never fun to come into work at 5:30 in the morning to the smell of poop smeared all over the place.  =(  Reluctantly, I let all my pups out of their kennels for their morning potty break.  I guess one of the pups was so excited to see me, right as i opened the door of her kennel, she ran up & jumped up all over me….with her poop smeared paws….soooo lovely…..I love the girl, but….EwwWwWwwW!!!!  She got poop all over my shirt & somehow in that split second was about to get it all over the side of my face & neck…sooo gross……

at least I was all alone in the morning & I was able to clean up before anyone got there.  I just took one of Dog Spot shirts for sale & wore that instead.  The tone for the rest of the day didn’t get better either…oh well…TGIF right?

Boobies!

So last night, Ann and I were finally initiated into the world of Burlesque.  This was the 10th anniverary for Burlesque As It Was so they had a line-up of 40 girls set to perform that night!

Ann’s coworkers wife was one of the acts and it was awesome, unfortunately the lights went out during her act and we only saw half of it.  All in all, it was pretty fantastic.  There were some real stars performing that night and I’d love to see them again.  I probably could have done without the first half with amateur burlesque from Vivienne VaVoom’s burlesque students.

Vivienne totally stole the show though.  She really knows how to capture an audience.  It was a good night.  I got to see 78 boobs (40 girls x 2 boobs – 2 boobs (for light outage) and got some good laughs.  It was fun getting to see the show with Jake, Heather, Stirling, and Katie as well.

Catch up, Ketchup, Catsup

Last Thursday, I was lucky enough to score an iPhone 3G.  It all happened by random luck too.  I was settled on waiting out the rush since I was unfortunate enough to have run into “Sorry, we’re out” a few too many times.  But on that particular day, I overheard my coworker on the phone talking to his wife about how one of the Apple stores close to work had them in stock.

It was do or die so Jake (coworker/buddy) and I left and got in line… for 4 HOURS.  Amazingly, they got a pretty big shipment in and we both lucked out.  This phone is everything I imagined it to be and more.  Two thumbs up here.

Ann and I are also going to our first burlesque show with Jake and Heather this upcoming Saturday.  We’ve never been but it sounds like it should be alot of fun.  Ann’s coworker’s wife is also going to be in the show and supposedly she’s smoking hot.  I’ll be the judge of that…  This is the company putting on the show: Burlesque As It Was.

The weekend after this one, the Adams County Fair is in town!  We’re going to go to the Demolition Derby and eat funnel cake! w00t!  Ann’s never been to a Demo Derby so I’m stoked.  I know for a fact she’s gonna love it.  Cars go smash!

After that weekend, my buddy Andres is getting married.  I’ll probably get smashed, if they have booze there.  Please let there be booze there…

A couple days after that… Linkin Park!  I’ve never seen them in concert and they’re up there as one of my top 5 bands so I’m excited.  It was a wedding gift from Ann waaay back in May.  She’s really good at planning ahead I guess.

Oh, and The Dark Knight is the best effin movie evar.  No ifs ands or buts.  PERIOD.

Did I mention The Dark Knight rules my face?

T-Mobile has a secret phone?

So the 3G iPhone is finally upon us and I’ve been strongly considering finally getting one.  Just to make sure I wouldn’t have to pay some ridiculous fees, I called my current wireless provider, T-Mobile.

I told the nice support rep that I wanted to know when my contract expires since I was considering switching to AT&T and getting the iPhone.

Naturally, she tried to talk me out of it and told me they don’t want to lose a long-time customer such as myself.  The interesting thing is she mentioned that I might want to wait for T-Mobile’s “really cool” phone coming out in September, but she said she wasn’t allowed to say anymore.

I’m still going to get the iPhone once it’s all clear from the Mrs. but I’m definitely intrigued.  Could it be a Google Android phone?  I guess we’ll find out in September…

Blue Sage Realty sucks

So I was pretty excited an old coworker of mine was going to rent one of the houses in my neighborhood.  All was good until the day they had to agree upon the lease.  Unfortunately, Blue Sage Realty seems to suck at people skills.  Now, I know the property manager was probably just trying to get the signing done with the least amount of hassle but she could definitely have handled things differently.

There’s a house next to me for sale and it hasn’t budged in a few months.  I think he may offer to rent her place with the intent to buy, so all is not lost.

How can you not see this movie?

So starting this Friday, the movie Wanted comes out.  Normally, I don’t see movies at the theater unless I feel it somehow warrants a big screen and a small fortune out of my pocket.  But honestly, how can you NOT see this movie at the theaters?

1.  Insane action?  Check!
2.  Hot babe?  Check!
3.  Impossible Physics?  Check!
4.  Morgan Freeman?  Hell yes, Check!

It’s actually doing pretty well on Rotten Tomatoes.  What are you guys watching this weekend?  You’re probably gonna say Wall-E… and yes… I want to see that too.

Scammers!

So yesterday Ann and I both got a letter from Wells Fargo saying that our credit application was approved conditionally depending on some documents we provide them.

It looked legit since it had Wells Fargo logo on the letterhead with reference numbers and all that good stuff.  They even got Ann’s recent name change right.  What didn’t look legit was what they were asking for and the small fact that we never applied for any credit with them!

They wanted a copy of my utility bill, pay stub, and last year’s W-2.  WTF?  SRSLY?  Nuh uh…

I called up Wells Fargo credit and they said they would never ask for this kind of information.  They filed a fraud report for me and I ain’t sending anything to these scammers.  Makes you kind of wonder though… they have some serious access into some sensitive data.

I hope that it’s a phishing scam and not someone trying to apply for credit under my name.  Why don’t these people get a job and work hard like the rest of us instead of trying to turn a quick buck while trampling on other people?

Grand Theft Auto… IRL!

So the Mrs. and I decided to go do a little aimless driving exploration for dinner.  We ended up eating at a fun Japanese restaurant where they have sake carafes for ONE DOLLAR.

After we finished dinner, I started heading to Federal St. on 72 Ave.  When I got to the intersection, I waited at the red light like a good citizen should.  I notice a guy standing at the corner start to run over to the El Camino stopped next to me.  He started talking to the driver from the passenger side window.

He went back to the corner and didn’t think anything of it since they both seemed to be smiling.  All of a sudden, the mullet-toting driver gets out of his car and heads over to the smiling dude standing at the corner.  It looks harmless and like a regular chat and then…. WHAM!

The mullet-man took a huge swing at the dude and the poor guy’s sunglasses went flying off.  For some reason he was still smiling and giggling, I can only assume he was drunk or high.  The light turned green for me so I left and didn’t get to watch more pain brought forth from super mullet-man.

Ann Ko!

I finally got all the papers together & started changing everything to my new name!  Today is my first day officially as Ann Ko!!!  woohooo!!!l

PLUS!  even more amazing?!?!
So…I thought I was being all sly…Peter said he’s had a rough couple of days at work (big project due Wednesday) and so I thought…I’m gonna surprise him by framing his smoking kitties in the bathroom poster (no words can describe it’s class) & bringing him a flower before he got home from work.

So…to my surprise…he was already home when I got home….PLUS, when I walked in the door, he had a HUGE bouquet of flowers sitting on the kitchen counter!  O_O

I got pwned – in a good way  =)

How much does my new job rock? ……THIS MUCH

So it’s probably no surprise to people how much I enjoy the company I work for now.  Sure the technology is new and exciting and it’s just a generally cool atmosphere, but what really rocks is the people.

Tomorrow we’re breaking in the new office HDTV with movie night at the office.  We’re gonna fire up the grill on the roof and drink bourbon while watching “Blazing Saddles”.  Ann’s trying to get into the whole western theme and make some kinda western dish to bring.  I think she’s leaning towards her peach clobbler recipe (Yes, I spelled it clobbler cuz it’s awesome).

I hope tomorrow is a horrible day at work so I have more reason to drink
